Last year my daughter bought me this awesome dry erase calendar for my birthday. I have it right next to my desk and have the current month’s editorial calendar posted so I stay on track. I love the board but I’m always smearing things and I hate how my handwriting looks up there!
I knew there had to be an easier way and after some thought, I decided, I wanted something that could be easily moved around and that would last a long time. I went through my stash of supplies and found some round magnets, and they fit perfectly into the date squares!!! So excited with my idea I got right to work and created these cool Calendar Magnets.

- Dry Erase Calendar

- 12 magnetic tape strips

- Colored pencils
- 1 sheet heavy cardstock
- Heavy duty tape or Supertape

You have a few options when printing this download. I printed it on white cardstock and then colored in all the odd days. Another option would have been to print it on colored cardstock and just punch them out. Personally, I like the white border on my circles after they’re punched out but that’s just me, you can print out 31 different copies on 31 different colors of paper if you want, the possibilities are endless!
After you’ve printed and colored –if you decided to– use your paper trimmer to cut the days and months into strips.
Use the 1″ circle to punch out all 31 days and then trim the months to separate them. The last step is to attach the days and months to the magnets. I used Supertape for this because it’s super sticky and I’m hoping will hold for a long, long time.
That’s it! I know it seems like a lot but it really isn’t that bad and you’ll be done before you know it.
If you’re thinking they will get dirty quickly or you don’t have any cardstock, you can also laminate them before attaching to the magnets. Just remember that will take a little bit more time to create since you will have to cut everything out twice.
Now, on the first of each month, all I have to do is change the header and move things around a little bit. I also started writing my post titles on sticky notes so I can move them around easily if something changes at the last minute.
How will you use your printable?
