Write Every Day Journaling Challenge

Hello my friends, I’m so excited for today’s post! Are y’all ready for the Write Every Day Journaling Challenge? So many of you let me know how much you loved the idea of the Write Every Day Journaling Project and I thought why not give you some daily prompts to go along with it.

March Journaling Prompts

How it Works

Join the challenge and every month I will send you a set of prompts to go along with  your Write Every Day Journaling System. Don’t worry that it’s not January 1st, you can start your journal whenever the time is right, even if it’s March. If you feel the need to start from the first of the year, the prompts are very general and you will be able to catch up in no time.

Keep it Simple

Don’t become overwhelmed with your system, keep it simple and easy to use. All you need is a notebook or some index cards and a pen and the only thing you need to do is write! You do not need to draw pictures or write in fancy lettering. Keep it simple and easy to use.

If I sound like I’m repeating myself, I am. The more complicated your process is the less likely you will enjoy using it annnnd, if you don’t enjoy using it, you won’t.

To make it even easier, add your journaling to your morning or evening routine. I like to write before bed, that way I have the entire day to reflect on.

Supplies

I mentioned above you only need a notebook or some index cards and a pen but you may want to add a couple extras to make it more fun.

Notebooks, Index Cards or even a Google Doc on your phone

Use anything you will be comfortable with. A spiral notebook, a Leuchtturm1917 or Moleskin notebook, a smash book, etc. If you decide to use the index card system shown in my Write Every Day post be sure you have a box or bin to store them in, all of which can be purchased at the dollar store.

I see an amazing project in my head using the Project Life system by Becky Higgins…who I have to add is my all time scrapbooking and journaling hero!!!

Pens, Pencils and Markers oh my

Gather your most favorite pens and markers and start journaling! You do not need anything special, if you want to use a ballpoint Bic…go ahead. Some of my favorites include:

My system

I don’t think I want to use the index card system but I haven’t made any decisions yet. There’s still a few days before March 1st so I have a little time to figure it out. I would Love to see your system and share with everyone. If you would like to have your Write Every Day Journal featured here in an upcoming post you can contact me below. Don’t forget to leave a link if you have a blog and write an awesome post showing off your creativity!

  1. What a great idea Maria to do something every day for a month. I know that I’m going to start tracking some of the habits that I’m trying to instill in my life – not for anyone else’s eyes, but for me to know exactly how I’m doing.

  2. I really need to do this challenge…LOL I need to get off this PC a minute. LOL My problem is that my job requires me to be online practically all day…and then I’m just tired by the end of the day. Sigh. Definitely a great idea that I’ll keep in mind!!

Thanks for joining Cooking and Crafting with J & J!

    • Hi Jess, I can totally relate! I work away from home from 8-5 and am on the computer the entire time…then I come home and work on my blog for a couple hours at night and on the weekends. Everything is so digital in my life that I felt the need for something tangible again, that’s when I started bullet journaling. It really helps to get my creativity flowing and now I’m completely addicted to journaling again. 🙂 Hope you will join us for the challenge, I’ve got some really exciting things planned.
